A - Artistic Individualised Learning Path

The IMPACT approach nurtures creativity by blending individual growth with collaborative exploration. Students develop technical mastery while enjoying the freedom to discover their artistic identities through ensemble music-making. IMPACT encourages authentic expression, emotional storytelling, and thoughtful artistic risk-taking, creating a safe and inspiring environment for experimentation and innovation. Mentors and peer mentors guide each learner through a structured pathway—from early inspiration to confident artistry—providing continuous support and encouragement.

The Role of Mentors and Peer Mentors

As students progress from KS3 to KS5, mentors and peer mentors play a central role in nurturing their artistic growth. Early on, mentors build foundational skills and inspire curiosity. In KS4, students are encouraged to explore creativity more deeply, take artistic risks, and collaborate on projects supported by peer mentors. By KS5, mentors and peer mentors work closely to refine each learner’s musical voice, preparing them for advanced study. This collaborative structure empowers students to take ownership of their learning while benefiting from shared experience and guidance.

  • Phase 4 – Collaboration & Community Growth

Students set goals, review progress with mentors, and build portfolios that highlight artistic and ensemble strengths.

This individualized path equips students with the skills and creativity they need to thrive in their musical pursuits and beyond.
